PERSONALITY

Morph is the X-Men's resident jokester, often using their shapeshifting powers to mimic other people for a punchline, when they aren't making a sarcastic observation or ribbing a teammate about their personal drama. Despite their overall time on the team being relatively short compared to the others, Morph has seen their fair share of trauma, including PTSD after a near-death experience and a bout of brainwashing that has in the past left Morph struggling to return to superhero life. Enough time has passed for them to be a functioning member of the team again, and Morph has been able to face their fears more than once. While a part of the X-Men's found family dynamic, Morph has a particularly close friendship with (and one-sided crush on) Wolverine.

Morph was seemingly killed on their first mission with the X-Men, when the team was faced with a deadly new threat, the robotic mutant-hunting Sentinels. After the X-Men left them for dead, Morph was resurrected by a villain named Mr. Sinister, who brainwashed Morph into attacking their teammates in revenge. Morph struggled against Sinister's control, leading to a couple of encounters with the X-Men before they were able to finally shake off the brainwashing long enough for the X-Men to take them to Muir Island for medical care. Morph attempted to rejoin the team some time later, but upon realizing that they still struggled with PTSD, left the team once more in fear of being a liability. Later they assisted the team by taking Charles Xavier's form on international TV to try to calm the public while the real Xavier was dying from an assassin's attack.

Having recently returned to the team as a full member, now more comfortable with their original appearance, Morph has fought alongside the other X-Men in facing down foes like the X-Cutioner and the Goblin Queen, and the dual threats of Magneto and Bastion, including the army of Prime Sentinels under the latter's command. Though the team was successful in preventing Asteriod M from falling to Earth, in the aftermath Morph was displaced in time, as were the other X-Men.

SHAPESHIFTING

Morph is capable of shapeshifting into both humans and animals, and can also accurately duplicate someone's voice. In the process they also duplicate any physical powers the subject has, such as wings, metal skin, etc. Morph also creates clothes and basic weaponry to match the subject they're copying.

MADE OF GOO

Morph can reform themselves after physical injury in a matter of minutes, and they also presumably don't have blood, traditional life signs, or organs (except when they need them). Overdoing their shapeshifting can make them start to 'melt'.
